Integrated Remote Neurosurgery System

چکیده

The Integrated Remote Neurosurgery Sys-tem(IRNS) was developed as a test bed to determine how telerobotic capabilities can be safely exploited in the operating room environment. In this report, a microscope is mounted on the robot to provide a high quality bidirectional mentoring system. The mentor can move, focus, and zoom the microscope remotely. This paper will address the issues relating to the robot safety, control and teleoperation. It outlines specifications , requirements, design and implementation issues of a remotely controlled, robotic, tele-surgical microscope system.
